About This Project

When these homeowners sought to install a new swing set for their son, they quickly realized their yard was not well suited for outdoor play or entertaining. A call to Stefano’s Landscaping resulted in a plan to regrade and reclaim the basically unusable steep, rocky hillside that dominated their backyard. 

The Stefano’s team made quick work of the solid ledge that accounted for a large portion of the yard, quickly chipping away at it to provide more level, usable space. The remaining portions of the yard were excavated and regraded with gravel and truckloads of loam to support the new lawn that was to be installed. During the excavation and regrading, the team also addressed an ongoing drainage issue by installing underground downspout extensions to direct rainwater away from the home. 

With a stone pack area marked out for the new swing set, it was time to build an area for the adults to have some fun too. For this, Stefano’s installed a bi-level paver patio, complete with retaining walls, cobbled edging and a firepit. Landscape lighting was installed throughout the yard for visibility and aesthetic effect. Now, the once essentially unusable space is a favorite spot for the whole family, and the best part? It only took about two weeks from start to finish to accomplish!

Stefano’s has been taking care of the landscaping and snow removal needs of our large (269 unit) condominium and townhouse property for many years. Visitors always comment on our beautifully maintained lawns, trees and shrubs. Could not give 10 stars since google limits it to 5 but they deserve it. From the moment they stepped foot on our property we knew they were the right company for our project.
