About This Project
This project began with a vision In Lynnfield Ma—one rooted in the client’s desire for a space that felt old-world, natural, and quietly elegant. The challenge was to create something that looked as though it had always existed—settled into the landscape with grace and intention.
From the start, the design centered around authenticity. Flagstone was chosen for its natural variation and organic edges, offering a timeworn look underfoot that instantly brought a sense of history to the space. Cobblestones were carefully placed to define transitions and anchor the layout with a classic European feel—each stone telling its own story. These materials, aged by nature and selected with purpose, provided the bones of the space.
The plantings played a vital role, softening the edges and bringing the garden to life. Layered textures, muted tones, and a mix of perennials and structural greens helped the space breathe. It wasn’t about creating something perfect—it was about creating something that felt alive, with gentle overgrowth and a sense of peaceful permanence.
Through collaborative meetings, on-site adjustments, and a shared respect for timeless design, the project evolved into more than just a landscape. It became a retreat—one that blends craftsmanship, nature, and an old-world garden spirit into a story that will continue to grow with time.
