About This Project

With a major family event scheduled for the following season, these Burlington, MA-based homeowners wanted to completely transform their backyard into an enviable entertainment and recreation area that could accommodate the many guests they were expecting.

We started construction on the outdoor kitchen in late 2021. With the house situated on top of a hill, we readily anticipated that drainage would be an issue for this property going forward, so we laid the groundwork for a system that would direct excess water flow away from living and entertaining areas and from where the pool would eventually be installed. We also installed a retaining wall to level the site.

No convenience was overlooked in outfitting the kitchen. A grill, pizza oven, black stone fryer, as well as both a fridge and kegerator were all installed along with plenty of workspace and bar area for seating, all situated under a custom pergola with fan, lighting and big screen TV.  Flanking either side of the kitchen are large seating areas with complimentary landscape lighting, one with a custom, oversized fire pit.

In April of 2022, we started work on the pool and hit a potentially large snag in the project. As we started digging, we hit groundwater just three feet down. The water needed to be removed and a stable base laid to accommodate the 35 x 15.5 foot fiberglass inground pool that was to be installed shortly. We immediately brought in our sump pump to drain the water and continued to excavate until we could layer and compact a stone base that would support the pool. With the pool in place, we went to work with the finishing touches – landscaping, installing plants and decorative stone, laying sod and installing an extensive system of landscape lighting all of which was fully controllable by the Omni system and app.

Even with encountering the groundwater obstacle, the project was completed a week before the party giving the homeowners time to add some finishing touches of their own.

The Results Are Amazing.

By the end of our first meeting, I knew that you offered something different. You had 3 exceptional qualities that drew our attention: Creativity, Honesty, and Professionalism. Your plans for our backyard outdoor living area and the landscaping around our house were truly beyond what we ever imagined. In addition, you and your staff were always a pleasure deal with.

Your true differentiator from other companies is that you care for your customers. We never had to worry about getting a run-around story from you. You were always truthful, polite and proactive. We knew you truly wanted our job to exceed our expectations, and our daily interaction with you and your team proved that. My wife and I were both blown away with the end result, and recognized how truly lucky we are to have found you.
