Located In Derry NH, this property was located in a wood lined area that is private and expansive. The homeowners wanted to transform their blank slate of a backyard that retained water into an inviting space that doubles as both a peaceful retreat and an entertainment hub.
Our design team presented the owners with an extensive plan to tackle their drainage issues head-on. We knew from our initial conversation that this was a major concern, so we made sure to come up with a custom, long term solution so the homeowners could rest assured that drainage worries and standing water in their yard would be a thing of the past. By combining dry wells and French drains, we were able to create a customized solution that will effectively redirect water away from their property. Our goal is to not only solve the immediate problem, but also to prevent future issues from arising.
With the drainage issues effectively in the past, our project manager was able to begin dreaming up the perfect backyard design. The clients are a young family, so with that in mind this design started off with the installation of a stunning 35′ x 15.5′ custom fiberglass pool. We included a built-in fun pad to the pool design, creating the ultimate playground for both adults and children alike. This ledge can be used for tanning, lounging, and splashing around.
The fiberglass pool has a soft curvature for a unique touch without limiting swim space combining both attractive design and maximum function. We took this pool to the next level by including a premier pool equipment package that is fully automated, keeping this backyard at the forefront of technology and convenience. To finish the pool off a custom triple spillway made of natural stone with custom granite and pillar caps was added. This spillway creates a realistic waterfall feature that not only looks stunning but also provides a soothing soundtrack for relaxation.
Surrounding the pool is a sprawling patio space designed with plenty of room for relaxing in the sun by the pool. This patio boasts a stone fire pit to gather around on chilly New Hampshire nights. This patio also boast an area to relax in a hammock by the pool, as well as plenty of space for lounge chairs. On the other side to finish the patio off we collaborated to bring in a stunning pergola from Eastern Shed. The homeowners can now swim and then escape the sun and relax in style. Our design team has worked seamlessly with Eastern Shed on multiple occasions to create luxurious outdoor spaces perfect for dining and unwinding. This pergola features an overhead fan, as well as a TV so this family can watch movies or sporting events with friends and family.
This project was finished off with the addition of low voltage landscape lights to make the space a warm, inviting atmosphere with the flick of a switch. Both the pool and landscape lighting are integrated through the omni logic control system for ease of use. Our team was able to create the perfect ambiance for outdoor gatherings and relaxation to maximize this family’s use of their beautiful new yard.
